| Sandy tells you 5 stories illustrated with balloons.
Each ends with a multi balloon souvenir of the story. Or, maybe each story
builds a multi balloon thing for the kid. While the stories aren't exactly
inspirational, they are well thought out and stay interesting. These stories
would probably play best at a 5 to 6 year old girl's birthday and would work
well for any family audience with small kids.
The video comes with printed script of the stories. And she shows you how to do the balloons. They are pretty simple but you should have basic twisting skills. Sandy's style is sweet and feminine, I'd need to make up more wise guy type stories but Sandy's basic method and physical set up offers a good usable outline to work around. I like this tape. It can give you a way to go from twisting single figures to having entertaining 3 to 5 minute bits suitable for a birthday party. BALLOON STORY SCULPTING VOL.2#4256 - $35.00 pub. 2003 runtime @ 50 min. Sandy uses a stand to hold her basic balloon base (3-260, 3-160). She builds her balloon figures or scenes on top of this base. Her balloons are used to illustrate the story and end up being a souvenir for the guest of honor. She has done a fine job of combining her balloon and storyteller skills into a unique form of childrenÕs entertainment. Sandy mainly uses 260s, 160s, Small Rounds, a Bee Body and includes a printed copy of most of the stories. The stories include: The Princess and Frog, Yippie I O, PiggyÕs Place, Rocky Rockhopper, The Angel of Gold. |
