Weaving

The weaving technique is generally a set of twists repeated over and over.

I think these are things that David has found especially useful. From
a simple 2 balloon baseball cap to a fancy 17 balloon bride, these figures
are just right for a variety of venues. The Rabbit In The Hat makes a wonderful
centerpiece and a 4 year old will recognize Bob The Builder immediately.

David's 22 balloon Santa in a Sleigh with Rudolph is as nice as I've
seen. It's the kind of thing you could sell as a window decoration in during
the holidays.
He spends about 15 minutes weaving an 18-260 Christmas tree and you
see the whole process. For those of you who haven't learned to weave, this
is an excellent project. It would be good to know how to make these figures
before you market it. Get it now.

Most of the things on this tape are simple (for David) figures he might
use for a line or restaurant. Toward the end of the tape he makes a fancy
Sponge Bob and a big Hobby Horse. The last thing, a Fish in Fish Bowl, requires
a stuffing machine. It's not a beginner tape and intermediate twisters will
find useful material.

The Big Stuff

David is known for his big walk around figures. One reason is because
they make for a great picture. He's had people line up to have their picture
taken on the balloon motorcycle. David suggests making a couple of race cars
and having a race. He uses them for walk around, promotions, parades, and
photo opportunities.
He starts with a large biplane. It's not a wearable but it uses 38-260s,
2-Small Rounds, 5-160s, and an 11" Round. In making it you learn to make
3 dimensional forms by weaving balloons. The weaving process is very repetitive
so David does not show you the twisting of each balloon from now on. He shows
you the woven parts of the figures and how to put them together. And he instructs
on the details where it is needed. This is not a beginner tape but for the
medium to advanced twisters, it gives you some reputation making figures
and a jumping off place to engineer your own. Highly recommended.
