| I'm a big fan of Rainbow the Clown, specially since
he entertained at TJam '03. This tape contains five clown skits before a
live audience followed by detailed explanations. You don't have to be a clown
to get a great deal from this tape. The routines are easy and easy to modify
to fit your character. If your character is going for laughs this tape should
be valuable to you.
The MEET AND GREET is a classic hand shake gag and David's tip about controlling the wrist gets the arm flopping. The "gimme 5" is a wonderful lesson on how to play with kids. And the "Hi 5" is a great example of clown logic. THE BIG MONEY GAME is a set of note cards with questions that plays big, packs small, resets and is easy. It makes the volunteer look good, will fit venues from MC to birthday party, and is easy to modify. YOU CALL IT, YOU CLAIM IT uses coins. 3 pennies and a 50¢ piece. Your character has to sell clown type logic because he's obviously confused about when to call heads or tails. But, a couple of simple coin slights insures the clown gets the laughs. WOULDN'T IT BE AMAZING is a card trick that fails because - well, what did you expect - he's a clown. Besides, the volunteer did everything. A really strong character can stop there but a pretty simple but gutsy steal lets you discover the card later. KISS CATCHING is a prop gag with a giant ruler. It's good for a quick bit, a walk around, or a parade prop. THE NOSE WIGGLE is about how to wiggle a clown nose. The last couple of minutes of this turn to black and white. This will be fixed on the next reproduction run. |
