Super Needle Wand

Adam's Balloon Penetration

Lower a balloon into the black cardboard tube. Inflate the balloon until it fills the tube and sticks out both sides. Stick 2 sharp pencils through pre-made holes in the tube and as if by magic, the balloon does not pop.

It's pretty simple. Once you see it you can custom make your own.

I'm carrying it because it is balloon related magic but I would remind you, it is not the trick, it's the presentation. I might use it as my new invention, the "safety collar for balloon popping" to avoid dangerous latex shrapnel. Or maybe as one step in a "Balloon Safety" running gag with a series of balloon penetrations and variety of equipment that worked but not the way I expected. I might end with a truly safe balloon that looked and acted very much like a bowling ball.

Anyway, it's a cute little trick and it might inspire you to make it something more. Uses 315 balloons.

THE BIG BOOK OF ANIMALS

 This is the best comedy magic routine using balloons I have seen. It's based on a classic routine that incorporates several elements of entertainment. The audience believes they are in on the trick being played on the volunteer. Both the audience and volunteer believe the magician messed up and is in big trouble. The magician wins in the end with a large, funny looking balloon octopus.

 The props fold flat and play big. The magic is as easy as the Magic Coloring Book and there's lots of opportunity for you to play with the tension built up by your apparent mistakes. This is a really great routine. Once you use it you will be thanking Don for years to come.

 What you get is a set of clear instructions and 2 gimmicked books. You have to come up with a box, write TOP SECRET on it, and make a balloon Octopus.

  This routine and book is also available in Don's book and CD, THINGS THAT FELL OUT OF MY HEAD. With the CD you can make your own books and it will be a lot cheaper. However these books are professionally done in color and will insure you have high quality props that will last for years.
