 Making hats for a crowd is one of the most fun, effective and profitable uses of balloons. You need to do it to understand the social dynamics of balloon hats. But first, it would be good to be able to make some fancy hats. Here you go.

 Sandi has done a fine job on her first video. She likes to use a lot of spirals, pearls and poodle tail deely-boppers on her hats. The techniques for making these items are well explained in the beginning and the tape moves right along. There are 15 hats and a really cute multi-balloon elephant.. If you can pump out balloons some of these hats will work for a line. There are 5 that I would reserve for special situations.

 You also get to meet Don Caldwell, Ken Stillman, Lorna Paris and John Holmes. Each of them teaches one of their favorites. From these cameos, you get a feeling for who they are and their style of twisting. They are all top twisters but very different people.

 The quality of production is good. They are enjoying themselves and the video time is generally efficiently used. It's easy to recommend this tape.

 This DVD goes from a 1 balloon T-Rex to multi balloon weapons and bugs. Half the figures use at least one 350 so they are pretty big. I like the Mega Sword, Snake Hat, and maybe a couple of other figures for line work. Most of the other figures would work at a restaurant with a little more time. The instruction is clear if you have basic twisting skills and the DVD moves right along.

Ken Stillman shows up, doing a heavy duty crossbow. Jimbo does his short, medium, long rope routine with 160s. ItÕs not very well explained but if you do ProfessorÕs Nightmare you can figure out the moves. Mike Stilwell does a broken and restored uninflated 130 based on a broken and restored rubber band.

Sandy uses a lot of colors. In 260s, probably the Entertainer Assortment, the Carnival Assortment, the Traditional Assortment, and Silver would cover it. In 160s she uses white, Brown, Lime Green, Dark Blue, Yellow, Red, and Clear. In 350s she uses the Carnival Assortment and White. In Small Rounds she uses 5 inch Black, White and an Alien Print. In Small Heart she uses Qualatex White. And Sandy uses a Lime Green Small Blossom.
