PRIVATE LESSONS

 You can give a lecture at TJam '03. And you can learn from way more people than the 8lecturers I've chosen. That's what Private Lessons are all about.

I can only schedule 8 big lectures at TJam '03. Many more of the participants have the ability and expertise to offer valuable classes.  I'd like to schedule them all. But I can't. So, I'm giving everyone the opportunity to schedule a lecture of their own. I call these Private Lessons.

Private Lessons can be offered by any teacher who schedules a class and has interested students. The cost of these lessons is set by the teacher. It has varied from $0 to $30. In the past, Private Lessons were attended by 2 to 20 people per class. The classes were mainly held in the Teacher's hotel room. This year we have larger meeting rooms available to the teacher for a $10.00 fee.

There are two ways to take advantage of the Private Lessons, as a Teacher or a Student.

As a Teacher, you need to schedule a time and a place and write up a paragraph about yourself and a description of your lecture. I'd suggest you look at the Time Slot schedule when you book a meeting room. There is a $10 charge for scheduling a meeting room for 2 hours. Please clean up after yourself.

As a Student, you need to sign up for the class, pay the teacher at the door and learn as much as you can. It's important to sign up for Private Lessons. This lets the teacher know what to expect. You can sign up either at the TJam or online.
