| Marvin started as a magician. He came to twisting as
an entertainer. HeÕs worked for Pioneer (who makes Qualatex) for years
as their twisting teacher and demonstrator. MarvinÕs written several
books and is the industry editor of Balloon Magic Magazine. He is responsible
for some of the largest custom twisted promotional pieces ever.
Marvin's Featured Lectures will be as follows..
1. Out of the Part Time Frying Pan
This class will cover a variety of ways to use balloons to promote
your business and take it from a part-time hobby to a full time occupation.
Several methods will be considered to eliminate the negatives in Birthday
Parties, Grand Openings, Special Events, and in Restaurant work, and make
twisting an "always enjoyable" experience.
2. Balloon Art Exhibits - A too often untapped potential
Participants in this class will learn to take balloon twisting from
making balloon figures to creating works of art. Several methods of displaying
balloon sculptures will be considered as well as creating entire balloon
art exhibits and using them as a promotional and as a money-making vehicle.
3. Weaving - Seasonal and Theme Oriented Sculptures
This hands-on class will teach weaving with a seasonal and theme oriented
approach. Instruction will include methods of combining woven balloon sculptures
to create special effects. Several methods of using woven balloon sculptures
as a promotional vehicle will also be considered.
